Surgical fastener applying apparatus

The present disclosure relates to a surgical fastener applying apparatus for applying fasteners to body tissue. The apparatus includes a cartridge receiving half-section defining an elongated channel member configured to releasably receive a firing assembly and a single use loading unit. A lockout structure prevents insertion of the single use loading unit into the channel member after the firing assembly is mounted to the cartridge receiving half-section. Alternatively, the lockout structure prevents full insertion of the firing assembly into the cartridge receiving half-section, if the single use loading unit is not engaged with the firing assembly.

Drone detection and classification with compensation for background clutter sources

A system, method, and apparatus for detecting drones are disclosed. An example method includes receiving a digital sound sample and partitioning the digital sound sample into segments. The method also includes applying a frequency and power spectral density transformation to each of the segments to produce respective sample vectors. For each of the sample vectors, the example method determines a combination of drone sound signatures and background sound signatures that most closely match the sample vector. The method further includes determining, for the sample vectors, if the drone sound signatures in relation to the background sound signatures that are included within the respective combinations are indicative of a drone. Conditioned on determining that the drone sound signatures are indicative of a drone, an alert message indicative of the drone is transmitted.

METHOD TO DETECT A RETAINED SURGICAL OBJECT

An imaging method, executed at least in part by a computer, tracks the disposition of surgical supplies used in an operation and identifies a radiographic imaging technique for detecting a retained surgical foreign object according to the tracking. One or more radiographic images are acquired in the operating room. The acquired image content is analyzed to identify one or more candidate foreign objects. At least a portion of the acquired image content is displayed with the one or more candidate foreign objects in the acquired image content highlighted.

VAPOR DELIVERY SYSTEM

An improved ALD system usable for low vapor pressure liquid and sold precursors. The ALD system includes a precursor container and inert gas delivery elements configured to increase precursor vapor pressure within a precursor container by injecting an inert gas pulse into the precursor container while a precursor pulse is being removed to the reaction chamber. A controllable inert gas flow valve and a flow restrictor are disposed along an inert gas input line leading into the precursor container below its fill level. A vapor space is provided above the fill level. An ALD pulse valve is disposed along a precursor vapor line extending between the vapor space and the reaction chamber. Both valves are pulsed simultaneously to synchronously remove precursor vapor from the vapor space and inject inert gas into the precursor container below the fill level.

CONFIGURABLE PATIENT MONITORING SYSTEM

A patient monitoring system can display one or more configurable health monitors on a configurable user interface. The health indicators are configured to display a physiological signal from a patient. The patient monitoring system can calculate ranges of values for the health indicator that correspond to a status of the patient. The health indicators can display different outputs based on the value of the physiological signal.
