Buttress attachment features for surgical stapling apparatus
An end effector assembly for use with a surgical stapler, comprising a staple cartridge having a tissue contacting surface, an anvil plate having a tissue contacting surface, a buttress material releasably disposed on the tissue contacting surfaces of each of the staple cartridge and the anvil plate, and an epoxy positioned onto the tissue contacting surfaces of each of the staple cartridge and anvil plate defining an attachment zone configured to retain the respective buttress material atop the respective tissue contacting surfaces.

Graph-based network security threat detection across time and entities
The disclosed techniques relate to a graph-based network security analytic framework to combine multiple sources of information and security knowledge in order to detect risky behaviors and potential threats. In some examples, the input can be anomaly events or simply regular events. The entities associated with the activities can be grouped into smaller time units, e.g., per day. The riskiest days of activity can be found by computing a risk score for each day and according to the features in the day. A graph can be built with links between the time units. The links can also receive scoring based on a number of factors. The resulting graph can be compared with known security knowledge for adjustments. Threats can be detected based on the adjusted risk score for a component (i.e., a group of linked entities) as well as a number of other factors.

Automated calibration of surgical instruments with pull wires
A surgical robotic system automatically calibrates tubular and flexible surgical tools such as endoscopes. By compensating for unideal behavior of a surgical instrument, the surgical robotic system can accurately model motions of the surgical instrument and navigate the surgical instrument while performing a surgical procedure on a patient. During calibration, the surgical robotic system moves the surgical instrument to a target position and receives data describing an actual position and/or orientation of the surgical instrument. The surgical robotic system determines gain values based at least on the discrepancy between the target position and the actual position. The surgical instrument can include tubular components referred to as a sheath and leader. An instrument device manipulator of the surgical robotic system actuates pull wires coupled to the sheath and/or the leader, which causes the surgical instrument to articulate.

Introducing a new message source into an electronic message delivery environment
Provided herein is an electronic message management platform that enables management and execution of electronic message campaigns while appropriately managing challenges presented by spam filters, black lists, and domain blocking technologies, and that includes elements for managing an electronic message campaign based on dynamic conditions, quality measures, engagement factors, and other measures, factors and conditions, including a rate of negative delivery events and a rate of negative engagement events.

SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CREATING AN ASSET BASED AUTOMATED SECURE AGREEMENT
Disclosed is a system, a method and computer-readable medium for implementing a smart contract on a blockchain. The method includes creating, via a processor, a smart contract documenting a contractual relationship of at least two parties based on an exchange of an asset, monitoring an execution of the smart contract and a current value of the asset to yield a status, and managing the smart contract based on the status. The smart contract can be exited and unused gas returned based on an event occurring or a quorum parameter being met.

Optical-based physiological monitoring system
A non-invasive, optical-based physiological monitoring system is disclosed. In an embodiment, the non-invasive, optical-based physiological monitoring system comprises an emitter configured to emit light into a tissue site of a living patient; a detector configured to detect the emitted light after attenuation by the tissue site and output a sensor signal responsive to the detected light; and a processor configured determine, based on the sensor signal, a first physiological parameter indicative of a level of pain of the patient.

Alarm notification system
An alarm notification system can enable a clinician to respond to an alarm notification received via a computing device, which may have more advanced functionality than a pager. The clinician's device can include a notification client which can respond to alarm notifications. The notification client can also provide one or more user interfaces that enable the clinician to view information about an alarm, such as information about a patient's status, physiological parameter values, trend data, audio/video of the patient, combinations of the same, or the like. Further, the notification client can provide functionality for a clinician to respond to an alarm, annotate an alarm, and/or indicate that the clinician can or cannot respond to the alarm, among other features. In addition, the clinician device can also (or instead) include an admit module that provides for automatic association of a patient to a device or location.

System and method for monitoring respiratory rate measurements
This disclosure describes, among other features, systems and methods for using multiple physiological parameter inputs to determine multiparameter confidence in respiratory rate measurements. For example, a patient monitoring system can programmatically determine multiparameter confidence in respiratory rate measurements obtained from an acoustic sensor based at least partly on inputs obtained from other non-acoustic sensors or monitors. The patient monitoring system can output a multiparameter confidence indication reflective of the programmatically-determined multiparameter confidence. The multiparameter confidence indication can assist a clinician in determining whether or how to treat a patient based on the patient's respiratory rate.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SECURITY ASSOCIATED WITH ACCOUNTS
Systems, methods, and/or instrumentalities for creating and/or enabling creation of security profiles are described herein. The security profiles may be created for a user and/or for various entities that the user may interact with. The security profiles may be retrieved when the user accesses a first one of the entities (e.g., a website). The security profile may be used to provide the user with a warning when the user may submit information, credentials, a security answer, and/or the first one of the entities that may provide access to a second one of the entities, thereby compromising the second one of the online entities.
