SYSTEM FOR DISPLAYING MEDICAL MONITORING DATA
A patient monitoring hub can communicate bidirectionally with external devices such as a board-in-cable or a dongle. Medical data can be communicated from the patient monitoring hub to the external devices to cause the external devices to initiate actions. For example, an external device can perform calculations based on data received from the patient monitoring hub, or take other actions (for example, creating a new patient profile, resetting baseline values for algorithms, calibrating algorithms, etc.). The external device can also communicate display characteristics associated with its data to the monitoring hub. The monitoring hub can calculate a set of options for combined layouts corresponding to different external devices or parameters. A display option may be selected for arranging a display screen estate on the monitoring hub.

Managing dynamic licenses for physiological parameters in a patient monitoring environment
A dynamic licensing system permits facility administrators to quickly enable a patient monitoring device to monitor a previously unmonitored physiological parameter when the caregiver determines that a new physiological parameter should be monitored. The administrator selects through a dynamic licensing module the patient monitoring device and instructs the dynamic licensing system to enable monitoring of the new physiological parameter. The administrator defines how long the patient monitoring device is to be monitoring the new parameter. The administrator may also select locations in the hospital, and some or all patient monitoring devices at that location are upgraded to monitor the new parameter. The dynamic licensing system creates a licensing agreement to monitor the new parameter for the monitoring duration and/or in the monitoring location.

Modular multi-parameter patient monitoring device
A multi-parameter patient monitoring device rack can dock a plurality of patient monitor modules and can communicate with a separate display unit. A signal processing unit can be incorporated into the device rack. A graphics processing unit can be attached to the display unit. The device rack and the graphic display unit can have improved heat dissipation and drip-proof features. The multi-parameter patient monitoring device rack can provide interchangeability and versatility to a multi-parameter patient monitoring system by allowing use of different display units and monitoring of different combinations of parameters. A dual-use patient monitor module can have its own display unit configured for displaying one or more parameters when used as a stand-alone device, and can be docked into the device rack when a handle on the module is folded down.

Surgical robotic assemblies and instrument adapters thereof
An instrument adapter includes a housing, a drive member, a nut, and a shaft assembly. The nut is threadedly coupled to the drive member and axially movable relative thereto. The shaft assembly includes a shaft and a link. The shaft extends distally from the housing and is configured to be operably coupled to an end effector. The link has a proximal end movably coupled to the nut and a distal end configured to selectively lock the end effector to the shaft assembly. The link is movable between a proximal non-locking position, and a distal locking position. The nut is movable between a first position along the drive member, in which the nut resists proximal movement of the link from the distal position to the proximal position, and a second position, in which the nut does not resist proximal movement of the link from the distal position to the proximal position.
