A method of a user equipment (UE) for a beam indication in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes receiving, from a base station (BS), downlink control information (DCI) including scheduling information for a data transmission on a downlink data channel, wherein the DCI includes an index of a spatial quasi-co-location (QCL) configuration, comparing a time offset between the data transmission and the DCI with a threshold that is pre-configured at the UE, and calculating a receive (Rx) beam based on the index of the spatial QCL configuration or a pre-configured spatial QCL assumption, receiving the data transmission based on the time offset.

Identifying device state changes using power data and network data
Devices state changes in a building may be determined using a combination of power monitoring and network monitoring. Power monitoring may be performed by obtaining a power monitoring signal and processing the power monitoring signal with models to determine information about state changes of one or more devices in the building. Network monitoring may be performed by receiving information about network packets transmitted by a device in the building and processing the information about the network packets to determine information about a different device or a state change of a different device in the building. For some devices and some implementations, information about state changes of a device may be determined by using both power monitoring and network monitoring.

A distributed computational architecture is provided having a CPU associated with each video camera and an associated proximate microphone and speaker, wherein speech detection and processing, and video processing, is performed by each such CPU in conjunction with its associated video camera, microphone, and speaker. Remote backup for such distributed speech processing is selectively provided by a remote server based upon confidence scopes generated by each such CPU. The distributed computational architecture is also utilized for video processing to facilitate peer-to-peer video conferencing communication using industry standard formats and to reduce latency and response times that would otherwise be encountered using remote servers.

Nanowire-based integrated circuit devices and methods for fabricating such are disclosed herein. An exemplary method includes forming a heterostructure over a substrate. A gate structure is formed traversing the heterostructure, such that the gate structure separates a source region and a drain region of the heterostructure and defines a channel region between the source region and the drain region. A source/drain nanowire release process is performed on the heterostructure to release a nanowire in the source region and the drain region. Nanowire spacers are then formed in the source region and the drain region. The nanowire is disposed between the nanowire spacers. During a gate replacement process, a channel nanowire release process is performed on the heterostructure to release the nanowire in the channel region. Epitaxial source/drain features are formed over the nanowire and the nanowire spacers in the source region and the drain region before the gate replacement process.
