Surgical stapler having downstream current-based motor control
A surgical stapler. The surgical stapler includes a firing system, an electric motor and a control circuit. Then electric motor is mechanically coupled to the firing system. The control circuit is electrically connected to the electric motor and includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion includes an H-bridge circuit which includes a high side and a low side. The second portion is electrically connected in parallel with the electric motor. The control circuit is configured to control a rotation of the electric motor based on a parameter sensed within the second portion of the control circuit.

Method and apparatus for determining parameters of linear motion in a surgical instrument
A surgical instrument and method of controlling the surgical instrument are disclosed. The surgical instrument includes a housing and an elongated shaft that extends distally from the housing and defines a first longitudinal axis. The surgical instrument also includes a firing rod disposed in the elongated shaft and a drive mechanism disposed at least partially within the housing. The drive mechanism mechanically cooperates with the firing rod to move the firing rod. A motion sensor senses a change in the electric field (e.g., capacitance, impedance, or admittance) between the firing rod and the elongated shaft. The measurement unit determines a parameter of the motion of the firing rod, such as the position, speed, and direction of the firing rod, based on the sensed change in the electric field. A controller uses the measured parameter of the motion of the firing rod to control the drive mechanism.

Substrate lift mechanism and reactor including same
A substrate support assembly suitable for use in a reactor including a common processing and substrate transfer region is disclosed. The substrate support assembly includes a susceptor and one or more lift pins that can be used to lower a substrate onto a surface of the susceptor and raise the substrate from the surface, to allow transfer of the substrate from the processing region, without raising or lowering the susceptor.

Radiation shield
A radiation shield and an assembly and a reactor including the radiation shield are disclosed. The radiation shield can be used to control heat flux from a susceptor heater assembly and thereby enable better control of temperatures across a surface of a substrate placed on a surface of the susceptor heater assembly.

Cassette holder assembly for a substrate cassette and holding member for use in such assembly
The invention relates to a cassette holder assembly for holding a cassette for storing at least one semiconductor material substrate in an interior space accessible from a front end of the cassette. The cassette holder assembly may have a base plate for receiving the cassette. Two holding members supported by the base plate may be positioning the cassette on the plate in the assembly. The holding members may be substantially identical to each other.

Non-thermal micro-plasma conversion of hydrocarbons
Embodiments relate to generating non-thermal plasma to selectively convert a precursor to a product. More specifically, plasma forming material, a precursor material, and a plasma promoter material are provided to a reaction zone of a vessel. The reaction zone is exposed to microwave radiation, including exposing the plasma forming material, the precursor material, and the plasma promoter material to the microwave radiation. The exposure of the plasma forming material and the plasma promoter material to the microwave radiation selectively converts the plasma forming material to a micro-plasma. The precursor material is mixed with the plasma forming material and the precursor material is exposed to the micro-plasma. The exposure of the precursor material to the micro-plasma and the microwave radiation selectively converts the precursor material to a product.

Layered data generation and data remediation to facilitate formation of interrelated data in a system of networked collaborative datasets
Various embodiments relate generally to data science and data analysis, computer software and systems, and, more specifically, to a computing and data storage platform that facilitates consolidation of one or more datasets, whereby logic is configured to remediate anomalies in a data set originating in a first format prior to enrichment and conversion into a second format that facilitates forming collaborative dataset and, for example, interrelations among a system of networked collaborative datasets, whereby, at least in some implementations, data interrelations between different formats may be disposed in one or more data layers (e.g., layered data files and/or data arrangements). In some examples, a method may include analyzing data to detect a non-compliant data attribute, detecting a condition based on the non-compliant data attribute, invoking an action to modify a subset of data, and generating a graph data arrangement linkable to other graph data arrangements to form a collaborative dataset.
