A surgical instrument comprising a housing, a shaft, an end-effector, a cutting member, and a control circuit is disclosed. The housing comprises a motor. The end-effector comprises a first jaw, a second jaw movable relative to the first jaw, an anvil, and a staple cartridge comprising staples, driver elements, and a sled configured to eject the staples toward the anvil. The sled is movable between a proximal unfired position and a distal fired position through a firing stroke. The cutting member is configured to be advanced distally into the sled by the motor. The control circuit is configured to detect the location of the cutting member, monitor a parameter indicative of a load experienced by the cutting member, determine a threshold value of the parameter based on a portion of the firing stroke, and adjust operation of the motor if the monitored parameter exceeds the determined threshold value.

The method may include: contacting the substrate with a first vapor phase reactant and purging the reaction chamber with a first main purge. The method also includes: contacting the substrate with a second vapor phase reactant by two or more micro pulsing processes, wherein each micro pulsing process comprises: contacting the substrate with a micro pulse of a second vapor phase reactant; and purging the reaction chamber with a micro purge, wherein each of the micro pulses of the second vapor phase reactant provides a substantially constant concentration of the second vapor phase reactant into the reaction chamber. The method may also include; purging the reaction chamber with a second main purge. Device structures including a material film deposited by the methods of the disclosure are also disclosed.

The present disclosure provides an electronic device that includes at least one sensor indicative of a physiological condition of a user, the at least one sensor worn by a patient. The electronic device can further include a location determination module configured to determine a location of a patient. The electronic device can receive a measured information from the sensor and determine if the physiological condition of the user indicates an urgent medical need. When the physiological condition of the user indicates an urgent medical need, the electronic device can contact emergency services and access and contact one or more of a contact in an electronic address book associated with the processing system. The electronic device can provide a location of the user based on information determined by the location determination module.

The present invention relates to an olefin metathesis reaction catalyst where rhenium (Re) oxide or molybdenum (Mo) oxide is supported, as a catalyst main component, on a surface-modified mesoporous silica or mesoporous alumina support, and a preparation method therefor. The olefin metathesis reaction catalyst of the present invention allows highly efficient metathesis of long-chain unsaturated hydrocarbons having at least eight carbons at a low temperature of 150° C. or lower. The catalyst can be separated readily from reaction solution, regenerated at a low temperature of 400° C. or lower by removing toxins accumulated on it during the metathesis reaction, and used repeatedly in metathesis reaction many times, thereby being made good use in commercial olefin metathesis processes.

Dynamic adjustment of application resources in a distributed computing system
A new snapshot of a storage volume is created by instructing computing nodes to suppress write requests. Once pending write requests from the computing nodes are completed, storage nodes create a new snapshot for the storage volume by allocating a new segment to the new snapshot and finalizes and performs garbage collection with respect to segments allocated to the previous snapshot. Subsequent write requests to the storage volume are then performed on the segments allocated to the new snapshot. An orchestration layer implements a bundled application that is provisioned with virtualized storage and computation resources. A snapshot of the application may be created and used to rollback or clone the application. The amount of processing cores, memory, and containers of the bundled application may be increased or decreased based on usage. Components of the bundled application may be assigned to nodes to satisfy affinity and anti-affinity rules.

A robotic surgical system can include one or more adjustable arm supports that support one or more robotic arms. The adjustable arm supports can be configured to attach to either a table, a column support of the table, or a base of the table to deploy the adjustable arm supports and robotic arms from a position below the table. In some examples, the adjustable arm supports include at least four degrees of freedom that allow for adjustment of the position of a bar or rail to which the robotic arms are mounted.
