A surgical instrument comprising an end effector, a firing member, an electric motor, a first lockout, and a control system comprising a second lockout is disclosed. The end effector is configured to support a removable staple cartridge. The firing member is movable toward a distal end of the end effector during a firing motion. The electric motor is configured to drive the firing member during the firing motion. The first lockout is mechanically engageable with the firing member. The control system is configured to prevent delivery of electrical power to the electric motor based on respective states of the first and second lockouts.

Systems and methods for instrument based insertion architectures

Systems, devices and methods are provided in which an instrument can translate along an insertion axis. Rather than relying primarily on a robotic arm for instrument insertion, the instruments described herein have novel instrument based insertion architectures that allow portions of the instruments themselves to translate along an insertion axis. For example, an instrument can comprise a shaft, an end effector on a distal end of the shaft, and a handle coupled to the shaft. The architecture of the instrument allows the shaft to translate relative to the handle along an axis of insertion. The translation of the shaft does not interfere with other functions of the instrument, such as end effector actuation.

Method and apparatus for high reliability transmission in vehicle to everything (V2X) communication

A method of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method comprises: receiving, from a base station (BS), configuration information including resource allocation information for a sidelink and an uplink (UL) channel, wherein the sidelink is established between the UE and another UE; receiving, from the BS, downlink control information (DCI) including sidelink resource allocation information; identifying resources for a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) response of the sidelink based on the configuration information and the sidelink resource allocation information; and transmitting, to the BS, the HARQ response of the sidelink via physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources.

Aspiration thrombectomy system and methods for thrombus removal with aspiration catheter

A thrombectomy removal system includes a catheter having a distal end and defining a lumen filled with a liquid column having a proximal portion and a distal portion, a vacuum source, a vent liquid source, and a vacuum and vent control system configured to cyclically connect or disconnect the vacuum source and the vent liquid source to change a level of vacuum at the distal end and substantially prevent forward flow. The vacuum source and the vent source are respectively fluidically connected to the vacuum and vent valves. A manifold connects the proximal portion to the vacuum and vent sources through the valves. Control of the valves prevents forward flow of the distal portion out from the distal end during each cycle. Each cycle can have states including vacuum-only, first double-closed, vent-only, and second double-closed. A time of the double-closed states can be no greater than 30 ms.

Wake up signal for machine type communication and narrowband-internet-of-things devices

Systems and methods of reducing power consumption associated with paging or cDRX mode are described. A wake-up receiver (WUR) wakes up from an idle mode or cDRX state. Whether a wake-up signal (WUS) has been received by the WUR is determined. The WUS is a low-complexity signal that is less complicated than a PDCCH or PDSCH and is repeated multiple times at resource elements as indicated in a configuration from an eNB. If received, a baseband transceiver wakes up for reception of a PDCCH for the UE in a PO when the UE is in the idle mode or a PDSCH for the UE when the UE is in the cDRX state.

Lane/object detection and tracking perception system for autonomous vehicles

According to some embodiments, a system pre-processes, via a first thread, a captured image perceiving an environment surrounding the ADV obtained from an image capturing device of the ADV. The system processes, via a second thread, the pre-processed image with a corresponding depth image captured by a ranging device of the ADV using a machine learning model to detect vehicle lanes. The system post-processes, via a third thread, the detected vehicle lanes to track the vehicle lanes relative to the ADV. The system generates a trajectory based on a lane line of the tracked vehicle lanes to control the ADV autonomously according to the trajectory.

Communication system, communication device, control device and communication control method

A communication device includes a first module, a communication portion communicating with a second module, a memory, and a processor that executes instructions stored in the memory. The instructions cause the processor to perform: executing a processing of changing a first radio communication to a non-restrictive state when a first signal is received from the second module in a state that the first radio communication is in a restrictive state; and executing a first processing of transmitting a second signal for changing a second radio communication to the non-restrictive state to the second module and a second processing of changing the first radio communication to the restrictive state when the priority signal using the first channel is detected in a state that the first radio communication is in the non-restrictive state.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR NR V2X RESOURCE SELECTION

A method of a first user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method comprises: receiving, from a second UE via a sidelink, signals including information to select resources for at least one of aperiodic traffic or periodic traffic; decoding sidelink control information (SCI) from the information included in the signals; performing, over a sensing window, a signal measurement of the received signals; identifying a resource selection window based on a latency requirement; reserving the resources for the at least one of aperiodic traffic or periodic traffic in a frequency domain and a time domain based on the decoded SCI and a result of the signal measurement, the resources being identified within a resource selection window; and transmitting, to the second UE via the sidelink, the at least one of aperiodic traffic or periodic traffic using the reserved resources.
