Cartridge status and presence detection

Surgical systems configured to determine whether a surgical cartridge is present and unfired. A surgical system includes a surgical instrument, a drive source, a sensor and a controller. The surgical instrument is configured to receive and support a surgical cartridge. The drive source is drivingly coupled with an actuation output. The sensor is configured to generate a sensor output indicative of movement of the actuation output. The controller controls the drive source to attempt to actuate the actuation output opposite to the firing direction by a predetermined amount. The controller determines that the surgical cartridge is present and unfired when the resulting actuation amount of the actuation output is less than a threshold actuation amount.

Knife lockout wedge

A surgical stapling device includes an adaptor assembly and a reload assembly supported on a distal end portion of the adaptor assembly. The reload assembly includes a shell housing, a staple cartridge supporting staples, a staple pusher, a staple actuator, a knife carrier, and a locking member. The staple pusher is movable from a retracted position to an advanced position to eject the staples from the staple cartridge. The staple actuator is movable from a retracted position to an advanced position to move the staple pusher from its retracted position to its advanced position. The knife carrier is movable between a retracted position and an advanced position. The locking member is supported on the knife carrier. The locking member is configured to engage the staple actuator in its advanced position while engaging the knife carrier in its retracted position such that the locking member inhibits re-advancement of the knife carrier.

Artificial intelligence based hydraulic fracturing system monitoring and control

A system monitors operation of a component in a hydraulic fracturing fleet. A sensor exposed to an external environment of the component is configured to detect external indicia of the operation of the component. Memory stores an artificial intelligence (AI) model, the AI model being trained to monitor the operation of the component in the system. One or more processors are operatively coupled to the memory and the sensor. The one or more processors are configured to obtain data of the external indicia detected with the sensor; input the obtained data into the AI model; detect, with the AI model and based on the input data of the external indicia, one of a plurality of predetermined states corresponding to the operation of the component; and perform a predetermined function based on the detected one of the plurality of predetermined states.

Method and system of establishing a virtual private network in a cloud service for branch networking

In one aspect, a computerized system useful for implementing a virtual private network (VPN) including an edge device that automatically establishes an Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) tunnel alongside an unsecure Multipath Protocol (MP) tunnel with a gateway device in preparation for a transmission of a secure traffic communication. The edge device has a list of local subnets. The edge device sends the list of local subnets to the gateway during an initial MP tunnel establishment handshake message exchange between the edge device and the gateway device. Each subnet includes an indication of whether the subnet is reachable over the VPN. A gateway device that automatically establishes the IPsec tunnel alongside the unsecure MP tunnel with the edge device. An enterprise datacenter server that comprises an orchestrator module that receives a toggle the VPN command and enables the VPN on the orchestrator. The orchestrator informs the edge device the list of subnets is accessible over the VPN causing the edge device to update the gateway device with a new list of subnets of the edge device that accessible over the VPN.
