Surgical stapler knife motion controls

A surgical instrument includes an end effector, a firing member movable distally from a home position to effect a first firing motion in the end effector, wherein the firing member is movable proximally toward the home position in a return motion, and a lockout pawl. The firing member has a cam slot, a protrusion, and a retaining pocket. The lockout pawl has a cam feature receivable in the cam slot during the return motion, wherein the cam slot is configured to guide the cam feature and move the lockout pawl toward a locking engagement with the protrusion to prevent a second firing motion of the firing member, and wherein the retaining pocket is configured to receive the cam feature to releasably secure the firing member to the lockout pawl when the firing member is in the home position.

Intrusion detection in micro-services through container telemetry and behavior modeling

An intrusion detection system (IDS) for a micro-services environment identifies attacks in substantially real-time and at a container-level. In this approach, behavior models are generated from container images using a binary analysis. A behavior model is a graph data structure having nodes and edges, wherein an edge represents a system call made by at least one process represented as a node in the graph data structure. The model is co-located with a running container, thereby enabling detection of anomalies as the container executes in a container environment on a hardware node. A per-container IDS function is instantiated by checking whether system call telemetry generated by an image's running container satisfies the associated behavior model that has been generated for the container image. If the telemetry indicates activity that deviates from the behavior model, an automated action is then initiated to attempt to address the attack, preferably while it is in progress.

EXTENSIBLE OBJECT MODEL AND GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE ENABLING MODELING

A method includes obtaining a relational model, the relational model comprising a plurality of nodes and a plurality of links, each of the links of the plurality of links connecting one or more nodes of the plurality of nodes, and each link corresponding to a relationship between a first node and a second node, receiving a request to update the relational model, the request comprising information corresponding to an added and/or edited first node, determining a first probability that the first node is in a relationship with a second node and a second probability that the first node is in a relationship with a third node, and updating the relational model to include the relationship between the first node and the second node at the first probability and the relationship between the first node and the third node at the second probability.

System and method for monitoring security attack chains

A cybersecurity platform is described that processes collected data using a data model to identify and link anomalies and in order to identify generate security events and intrusions. The platform generates graph data structures using the security anomalies extended using additional data. The graph data structures represent links between nodes, the links being events, the nodes being machines and user accounts. The platform processes the graph data structures by combining similar nodes or grouping security events with common features to behaviour indicative of a single or multiple security events to identify chains of events which together represent an attack.
