DEVICE ENSEMBLES AND COEXISTENCE MANAGEMENT OF DEVICES

Various devices (e.g., sensors and/or emitters) are disposed in a casing to form an ensemble are utilized to affect and/or control an environment of an enclosure (e.g., facility). A plurality of such ensembles may be disposed in the facility. Inter and/or intra coexistence issues may arise among the devices. Such coexistence is utilized and/or managed by a control and/or processing system. Provisioning radio-based networks with locality rules

Disclosed are various embodiments for provisioning radio-based networks with locality rules. In one embodiment, at least one locality rule associated with an organization is accessed. The locality rule(s) require that at least a subset of network traffic for a radio-based network remain within a particular geographic area. The radio-based network includes a radio access network and an associated core network. A topology for the radio-based network is determined based at least in part on the locality rule(s). The radio-based network is provisioned or reconfigured for the organization to have the topology complying with the at least one locality rule.

LOCALITY-BASED NETWORK SLICING IN RADIO-BASED NETWORKS

Disclosed are various embodiments for locality-based network slicing in radio-based networks. In one embodiment, network traffic is received via a network slice in a radio-based network. The radio-based network includes a radio access network and an associated core network. The network slice is associated with at least one locality rule requiring that the network traffic remain within a particular geographic area. It is determined that the radio-based network has resources to comply with the locality rule(s). The network traffic in the radio-based network is acted upon in order to comply with the locality rule(s).

Parameter determination for radio-frequency modeling

During operation, an electronic device may perform measurements associated with an environment. Then, the electronic device may create a model that represents the environment, where the model specifies a two-dimensional (2D) or a three-dimensional (3D) geometric layout of the environment and/or estimated parameters associated with radio-frequency properties of at least a portion of the environment. Moreover, the electronic device may design a wireless network for use in the environment, where the designing includes determining radio-frequency characteristics in a band of frequencies associated with the wireless network based at least in part on the model, and the wireless network is predicted to achieve one or more target communication-performance metrics. Next, the electronic device may provide the design information associated with the design that specifies the wireless network, where the design information includes one or more wireless-network components and one or more locations of the wireless-network components in the environment.

Cartridge body design with force reduction based on firing completion

A surgical instrument includes a sled and an end effector. The end effector includes a first jaw, a second jaw movable relative to the first jaw, an anvil, and a cartridge channel. The staple cartridge includes a proximal end, a distal end, a cartridge body, and staples supported in the cartridge body, wherein the sled is movable to deploy the staples from the cartridge body against tissue captured between the staple cartridge and the anvil. The cartridge channel is configured to removably retain the staple cartridge, wherein a load is required to remove the staple cartridge from the cartridge channel, and wherein the sled is configured to reduce the cartridge removal load.

TUNNEL-LESS SD-WAN

In a novel tunnel-less SD-WAN, when an ingress node of the SD-WAN receives a new packet flow, it identifies the path of the flow through the SD-WAN, and sends an initial prepended set of SD-WAN header values before the first packet for the flow to the next hop along this identified path, rather than encapsulating each packet of the flow with encapsulating tunnel headers that store SD-WAN next hop data for the flow. The prepended set of SD-WAN header values are then used to not only forward the first packet through the SD-WAN, but also to create records at each subsequent hop, which are then used to forward subsequent packets of the flow through the SD-WAN.

Identifying multiple nodes in a virtual network defined over a set of public clouds to connect to an external SaaS provider

Some embodiments establish for an entity a virtual network over several public clouds of several public cloud providers and/or in several regions. In some embodiments, the virtual network is an overlay network that spans across several public clouds to interconnect one or more private networks (e.g., networks within branches, divisions, departments of the entity or their associated datacenters), mobile users, and SaaS (Software as a Service) provider machines, and other web applications of the entity. The virtual network in some embodiments can be configured to optimize the routing of the entity's data messages to their destinations for best end-to-end performance, reliability and security, while trying to minimize the routing of this traffic through the Internet. Also, the virtual network in some embodiments can be configured to optimize the layer 4 processing of the data message flows passing through the network.
