FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to devices that are attached to keys.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Currently, many people have difficulty keeping track of their keys. Many briefcases, tote bags, purses, backpacks and fanny packs do not have a specific compartment for keys. So, if the keys are in the bag, the individual is often forced to rummage through the entire bag to locate their keys. Existing devices that allow the user to attach their key ring to a wrist or belt loops are not well suited to attaching to bags. There is therefore a need for a device that the user can easily attach to and detach from a key ring and any other object.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The device that is the subject of the present invention allows the user to attach one end to their key ring, and loop the other end around another object, such as the strap of any bag, the wrist, belt loops, stroller handlers, etc. The user can easily transfer the Key Keeper from one object to another, and have several that match their bag, outfit, etc. They can also easily detach their key ring from the Keeper, leaving the Keeper attached to the object, for future use.

It is an object of the invention to provide a device that allows the user to easily attach to and detach from their key ring and any other object.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The Key Keeper is wrapped around the desired object, then one end of the Keeper is inserted into the other, and pulled taut, forming a loop. The clasp hooks onto the user's existing key ring. The user can then situate their keys inside or outside of their bag.

The user is able to easily detach the Keeper by undoing the loop, enabling them to reuse the Keeper numerous times.

It is to be understood that, while the invention has been described in conjunction with the detailed description, the foregoing description is intended to illustrate and not limit the scope of the invention, which is defined by the scope of the appended claims.

Claims

I claim:

1. A device comprised of

i. A length of flexible material

ii. a ring and

iii. a clasp

2. A length of flexible material as described in claim 1 in which preferred embodiments include a string of beads, braided leather laces, braided ribbon, and fabric.

3. A clasp as described in claim 1 which can be attached to the ring.

4. A length of flexible material as described in claim 1 which can be inserted through the ring.

5. A length of flexible material as described in claim 1 in which the ends can be attached to make a loop.

6. A loop of flexible material as described in claim 5 which can be looped around an object by wrapping it around the object.
