The Mobile Workshop is a long overdue functional device designed to reduce the amount of floor space required to setup and operation a variety of tabletop power tools in a single workshop environment. The space-saver Mobile Workshop is al long overdue smart and functional equipment cabinet unit that will allows the professionals and the amateur's do-it-yourselfers to optimize their work environments by minimizing the space requirements normally necessary for workshops with a wide variety of tabletop power tools.
DESIGN SPECIFICATIONThe Mobile Workshop cabinet is configurable into a number designs, single cabinet, or double cabinet with or without drawers, triple cabinet with drawers, and stand alone cabinets. The Mobile Workshop provides a flexible work area it is adjustable and capable supporting any number of tabletop power tools by adjusting the work area opening side-to-side, front-to-back, and adjustable bottom to support the individual tabletop tool requirement. Horizontal pins in the Mobile Workshop mate with holes in the sides of the standardized tabletop mounts to lock equipment safely in operational position as seen in FIGS. 1 & 2A. The Mobile Workshop cabinet is mounted on locking wheels, which allows easy positioning and setup for active use and storage during inactive use.
Standard Tabletop Mounts
Standardizing mounts for each tabletop power tool attachment will reduce the requirement of adjustments and support space reduction and simplify storage. Standardize tabletop mounts range in size 1¼″ height, 20″-24″ wide, and 14″-18″ depth, as seen in FIG. 1. Holes will be preposition in the 1¼″ sides, of the tabletop mounts to mate with the preposition pins in the Mobile Workshop work area.
Mobile Workshop Constructed Size
The constructed size of the Mobile Workshop is not fixed and will vary with configuration type. The desired configuration, storage requirements, construction materials, and standardizing equipment mounts will drive the size.
The Mobile Workshop Configuration I
Configuration I, as seen in FIGS. 4A and 4B is single cabinet design with an open front and top work area designed to support tabletop power tools. Configuration I, provides in cabinet storage space for two tabletop power tools. The Mobile Workshop is configured with doors covering the cabinet storage area. Configuration I, size 32″-36″ height, 32″-36″ width, 24″-26″ depth.
The Mobile Workshop Configuration II
Configuration II, as seen in FIGS. 5A and 5B is double cabinet design with an open front and top work area designed to support tabletop power tools. Configuration II, provides in cabinet storage space for multiple tabletop power tools. The tabletop power tools mounts flush with the work bench area of the Mobile Workshop which provides a measured bench top and locking guide cutting guide. The Mobile Workshop is configured with doors covering the cabinet storage area. Configuration II, size 32″-36″ height, 60″-66″ width, 24″-26″ depth.
The Mobile Workshop Configuration III
Configuration III, as seen in FIGS. 6A and 6B is double cabinet design with an open front and top work area designed to support tabletop power tools and a stand alone storage cabinet. Configuration III, provides in cabinet storage space for multiple tabletop power tools. The tabletop power tools mounts flush with the work bench area of the Mobile Workshop which provides a measured bench top and locking guide cutting guide. The storage area. The stand alone storage cabinet can complement configuration I, II, and IV. Configuration III, size 32″-36″ height, 60″-66″ width, 24″-26″ depth. Stand alone storage cabinet size 32″-60″ height, 30″-36″ width, 24″-26″ depth.
The Mobile Workshop Configuration IV
Configuration IV, as seen in FIGS. 7A and 7B is triple cabinet design with an open front and top work area designed to support tabletop power tools. The tabletop power tools mounts flush with the work bench area of the Mobile Workshop which provides a measured bench top and locking guide cutting guide. Configuration IV provides in cabinet storage space for multiple tabletop power tools and drawers. The Mobile Workshop is configured with doors covering the cabinet storage area. Configuration III, size 32″-36″ height, 72″-78″ width, 24″-26″ depth.
Construction Material
The Mobile Workshop construction material is suitable to organic synthetic, wood, steel, or best when using a combination of all material.
SUMMARYThe Mobile Workshop is an essential space saving equipment for any workshop or garage. It significantly reduces the amount of floor space normally required to support individually mounted tabletop power tools.
1. The Mobile Workshop maximizes shop work space by reducing the amount of floor space normally required to support multiple tabletop power tools. The Mobile Workshop can be quickly reconfigured to use the desire tabletop power tool while consolidation and storing other tabletop attachment tools within the Mobile Workshop unit until, ready for uses. The Mobile Workshop is mounted on lockable wheels, which are used to position the Mobile Workshop for use and storage when not in uses. When not being used for power tools the Mobile Workshop provides a workbench for other home projects. The Mobile Workshop will promote standardization of tabletop power tools mounts and/or platforms.
