Description

The present invention relates to a bag produced using recycled components.

More specifically, the bag according to the invention comprises at least one airbag of a motor vehicle (or other means of transport) which is collected after its explosion, following an accident, and recycled for specifically producing a bag.

Bags, of all types, are known, in which the containment portion of the bag is produced by the cutting, processing and assembly of different materials, such as, for example: fabrics, non-woven fabrics, tanned hides, plastic films and so forth.

The supply and processing, more or less complex, of the above materials obviously represent the greatest production costs.

An objective of the present invention is to produce a bag wherein the above costs are reduced to the minimum.

Another objective of the invention is to provide a bag comprising recycled components which is at the same time capacious, light and aesthetically pleasant, and also easy to maintain, for example, washable in washing machines.

In view of the above objectives, according to the present invention, for the production of bags, the idea was conceived of recycling airbags of vehicles involved in road accidents.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING

The drawing shows a plan view of a bag made according to the invention.

Handles can be applied to said airbags, for example consisting of pieces of safety belts also recycled, closing systems such as zips or velcro closures and other compo nents, recycled or not, both functional and aesthetic.

A bag produced according to the invention has the characteristics specified in the enclosed main claim and subclaims.

The structural and functional characteristics of the present invention will appear more evident from the only FIGURE enclosed, which illustrates an example of a bag produced according the same invention.

In said FIGURE, the bag in question is indicated as a whole with 10 and comprises at least one floppy containment portion consisting of a recycled airbag 11. Said airbag 11 has at least one open side 12 which is preferably, but not necessarily, closable by means of closing systems, for example, a zip 13, or a velcro closure.

A gripping means, for example a handle 14, is fixed to said airbag 11, said handle preferably, but not necessarily, consisting of pieces of a recycled safety belt of a vehicle.

Further structural and/or aesthetic components can also be applied to the airbag 11, also available from recycled materials.

Claims

1. A bag (10) comprising at least one floppy containment portion, characterized in that said containment portion consists of an airbag (11).

2. The bag (10) according to claim 1, characterized in that said airbag (11) has at least one open side (12) which can be closed by closing means.

3. The bag (10) according to claim 2, characterized in that said closing means comprise a zip (13), or equivalent element.

4. The bag (10) according to claim 1, characterized in that gripping means (14) are fixed to said airbag (11).

5. The bag (10) according to claim 4, characterized in that said gripping means comprise a section of recycled safety belt.
