Abstract:

This presentation will introduce to you THE SLOUCHOUT chair. This documentation will detail the comforts that owning The Slouchout chair can provide. This research will display what advantages that most if not all current normal chairs, seats, and sitting apparatuses DO NOT afford. This write up will explain the correct way that is beneficial to the comfort of the human spine and body through the correct way to sit and that the spine should be position from sitting in The Slouchout chair. Sitting in The Slouchout chair can lower, lessen and avoid back, neck, hip, leg, and spine pain that can come from prolonged sitting for years in traditional chairs/seats with an incorrect posture with the spine and neck in a constant vulnerable position that is exposed and not supported.

Description

HISTORY/BACKGROUND

Even the most purported ergonomically correct perfect chairs DO NOT properly support the natural, biologically correct, anatomic curvature of the cervical section of the neck and the natural concave curvature shape of the upper back, shoulder blades, and trapezius muscles of the back. Most chairs, sofas, couches, in homes, offices, and even cars DO NOT properly support the cervical section of the spine and neck. There are too many so called perfect chairs that attempt to be ergonomically correct but they still fail to properly support the back of the head and neck. Especially the portion of the neck where the cervical tip of the spine (C1 occipital cervical joint) meets the base of the back of the skull is ALMOST ALWAYS left TOTALLY unsupported in any seated/sitting apparatus. Most people slouch on anything and everything that requires sitting anywhere!! This is to try to adjust or over compensate for the fact that most sitting apparatuses are NOT truly ergonomically correct or supportive of the cervical portion of the neck correctly. Ergonomically correct chairs attempts to take into account the design of the entire human body while its sitting in a specific position. Current ergonomic chairs DO NOT take into account the flex of the natural curvature of the spine and cervical part of the neck. Ergonomics/current ergonomically correct chairs can also be too generic with an erroneous one size fits all approach with crude, outdated, and easily damage of a short period of time adjustments for different persons' heights, weights, body types, shapes, leg, arm, neck and spine lengths. Current ergonomically correct chairs also do not take into consideration that naturally the human body, spine, neck, cervical portion of the spine, C1 moves or shifts numerous times naturally and at times involuntarily or unknowingly to a person to always adjust for comfort and balance to prevent pain and injuries.

I understand that chairs, seats, and sitting apparatuses cannot be totally comfortable all the time for both safety and productivity reasons. Chairs, seats, or sitting apparatuses cannot be totally comfortable all the time in work office, and or school classroom environments because people could become sleepy, lethargic, lackadaisical and not motivated to do work, complete tasks and produce quality products, work, goods and services. Seats, chairs, and sitting apparatuses cannot be too comfortable in cars especially in particular the driver's seat because the driver could become sleepy, lethargic and crash the car leading to possible serious injuries and fatalities. However, this issue could be easily resolved by the type and quality of the toughness or the softness of the material of the chairs such as leather, cloth, plastic, metal, and upholstery while still sustaining and maintaining the protection of the back of the skull, cervical portion of the neck and the spine.

Even very expensive massage chairs DO NOT consider the protection and support of the rear of the human skull, cervical portion of the neck and the entire human spine. These very expensive massage chairs are more too over relying on the bells and whistles of the technology of the massage chair's gadgets, heating, cooling, vibrations, rotation, and motion of the chair which are all things that are NOT necessary or enhance the overall prolonged protection from damage over time of the cervical neck portion of the spine and the entire spine. The very expensive massage chairs can do very well at relaxing back muscles around the spine and maybe the neck but they DO NOT necessarily enhance the integrity of the protection of the posture, natural curvature and flexing of the human spine and cervical part of the spine from future damage and pain.

Most current modern day chairs, sitting apparatuses, seats, electric or not, car, home, school or office ARE NOT supportive of the necessary shift and readjusting that the human spine and neck have to make for comfort, injury prevention, and prolonged future damage. Even when a person is sleeping they continuously move even unconsciously to adjust and readjust for comfort especially because most people's sleeping habits sleeping positions, and pillows and also mattresses DO NOT support the upper back/shoulders properly. Also the contour shape of the curvature of the hamstring muscles and Gluteus Maximus are not compensated for in most chairs or seating apparatuses.

THE SLOUCHLESS DESCRIPTION

In current traditional chairs the part of the seat that upholds the Gluteus Maximus and legs/hamstrings/back of the knee are too sharp, too straight, and too flat even in very expensive massage chairs and ergonomically correct chairs. Also, the factoring in of the natural anatomically biologically correct low hanging male testicles and genitals of the male gender are not considered and are neglected in flat, straight, sharp seats in most sitting apparatuses. The Slouchout resolves or significantly lessens leg stiffness, Gluteus Maximus numbness, need for purchases of extra sofa, seat, and chair cushions, leg and hamstring numbness, stiffness, and lethargy, back stiffness, back pain, neck stiffness, neck pain, the mashing of the hamstrings, and feet numbness.

Most chairs DO NOT properly support the arms either. The arms are left unsupported especially back, triceps, and rear deltoids. The back/rear of the deltoids and shoulder blades/upper back are left unsupported (Which over a prolonged period of time can cause a pulling down on the neck, upper back, and cervical part of the spine causing upper back to slope over into a hunch back creating permanent disfiguration from poor posture). Chairs with arm rest even when adjustable do not support forearm curvature. Chairs with arm rests even when adjustable are too short, flat, and narrow for arms especially adult sized arms and in particular male arms. A significant percentage of chairs/seating apparatuses have NO arm support. Modern day current chairs, sofas, couches home, work, school car DO NOT look at the human body or the human spine as one whole unit. Even if there is an attempt in most modern day current seated apparatuses, chairs, and sitting furniture to account for the support of the neck and back the legs and arms are neglected. (Improper support of legs can cause lower back, lumbar region of the spine and or pelvic/hip damage over a prolonged period of time of unsupported poor posture). Significant percentage of chairs even with adjustable arm rests either press the elbow up into the shoulder too high causing pain or allow the shoulders to hang low in a slanted, rounded slouched position pulling down on the upper neck and back causing a tremendous amount of pain and damage over a short period of time of poor posture.

Claims
