The present application claims priority to, and the benefit of, U.S. Provisional Application No. 63/656,629, which was filed on Jun. 6, 2024, and is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.
The present invention relates generally to the field of markers and charms. More specifically, the present invention relates to water bottle markers and charms for differentiation, customization, and decorative purposes. Accordingly, the present disclosure makes specific reference thereto. Nonetheless, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally applicable to other like applications, devices, and methods of manufacture.
By way of background, this invention relates to improvements in water bottle markers and charms. Generally, at events such as sports games or school, kids will often have the same water bottle as others. This can lead to someone picking up the wrong bottle and drinking from it, or even taking the wrong water bottle home. As is known, sharing drinks via picking up the wrong water bottle can result in the unintended contraction of bacteria, viruses, and communicable diseases. Without a creative way to differentiate the bottles from one another, inconvenient mix-ups continue to happen.
Accordingly, there is a demand for improved water bottle markers and charms. More particularly, there is a demand for water bottle markers and charms that differentiate bottles that are otherwise the same or similar.
Therefore, there exists a long felt need in the art for water bottle markers and charms that provide users with the ability to customize their water bottle for differentiation purposes to avoid illness and inconvenience. There is also a long felt need in the art for a water bottle markers and charms that enable for customization of water bottles according to each user's preferences. Further, there is a long felt need in the art for a water bottle markers and charms enable for creative expression for each user. Finally, there is a long felt need in the art for water bottle markers and charms that are available in a wide variety of colors and styles to suit user preferences.
The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises water bottle markers and charms. The devices are a creative means of adorning a user's water bottle for differentiation, customization, or decorative purposes. The water bottle markers and charms comprise marker components that are available in a variety of colors and styles. The marker components are generally in the form of a string, beads, or chain links. The marker components can be either looped around the top of the bottle or tied to a handle. The charm components are also available in a variety of colors and styles and can be attached to the marker components. Thus, once the marker component is attached to the water bottle, a user can differentiate, customize, or express themselves through their water bottle. Accordingly, the devices provide a simple but creative way of differentiating water bottles and avoiding accidental misplacing or sanitary concerns.
In this manner, the water bottle markers and charms of the present invention accomplishes all of the forgoing objectives and provides users with devices that enable for a fun and creative way to make their water bottle stand out in circumstances where others carry water bottles.
The following presents a simplified summary in order to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the disclosed innovation. This summary is not an extensive overview, and it is not intended to identify key/critical elements or to delineate the scope thereof. Its sole purpose is to present some general concepts in a simplified form as a prelude to the more detailed description that is presented later.
The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises water bottle markers and charms. The devices are an effective and unique way to customize, personalize, or differentiate water bottles from those that are the same or similar. The water bottle markers and charms comprise a marker component that is meant to be attached to a water bottle and a charm component that can be attached to the marker. Thus, once the marker component is attached to the bottle and the charm component is attached to the marker, the water bottle is customized to suit the user's preferences.
In one embodiment, the water bottle markers and charms of the present invention assists any setting in which a user may carry a water bottle. The water bottle markers and charms are available in a variety of colors and styles and secure easily to a water bottle for differentiation, customization, or personalization purposes. The water bottle markers and charms provide that the user's water bottle is quickly and easily distinguishable among and from others.
In one embodiment, the water bottle markers and charms comprise a marker component. The marker component is typically configured in a looped string, beads, or chain shape but can be configured in any suitable shape as is known in the art. Typically, the marker component comprises a means of fastening to a water bottle. Fastening means include but are not limited to clasps, snaps, or a loop that can be fed through a handle of the bottle.
In one embodiment, the water bottle markers and charms comprise a charm component. The charm component can be available in an infinite number of colors, shapes, and designs that suit the preferences of the user. Typically, the charm component is attached to the marker component via a key ring and chain, although any means of attachment between the marker and charm components deemed suitable for the purpose described may be used.
In one embodiment, the water bottle markers and charms in accordance with the present invention can be produced in various colors, designs, patterns, etc., and feature logos, emblems and or designs, such as a distributor requests and/or a user desires.
In one embodiment, the water bottle markers and charms are manufactured of a high-density polyethylene (HDPE), or any other suitable material(s) as is known in the art. Any number of different types of materials can be used to make the water bottle markers and charms including but not limited to plastics, nylon, textile materials, rubber, and/or elastic.
In one embodiment, the marker components of the water bottle markers and charms may include a clasp so that they may also be used as a bracelet or other jewelry.
In use, the user secures a marker component to a water bottle. The marker component can either be attached around the rim of the water bottle or to a handle. The charm component is then attached to the end of the marker component via a key ring and chain found on the charm component. The user can then utilize the device while carrying a water bottle. Thus, once the marker component is attached to the water bottle, a user can differentiate, customize, or express themselves through their water bottle. Accordingly, the devices provide a simple but creative way of differentiating water bottles and avoiding accidental misplacing or sanitary concerns.
It will also be appreciated that there are a number of additional add-on features that can be incorporated into the device and moreover, the water bottle markers and charms can take many different forms as is known in the art.
In yet another embodiment, the water bottle markers and charms comprise a plurality of indicia.
In yet another embodiment, a method of conveniently adorning a water bottle with a water bottle marker and charm is disclosed. The method includes the steps of providing water bottle markers and charms comprising a marker component and a charm component. The method also comprises attaching the marker component to either the rim or handle of a water bottle. Further, the method comprises securing the charm component to the marker component via a key ring. Finally, the method comprises utilizing the device while carrying a water bottle.

The innovation is now described with reference to the drawings, wherein like reference numerals are used to refer to like elements throughout. In the following description, for purposes of explanation, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding thereof. It may be evident, however, that the innovation can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, well-known structures and devices are shown in block diagram form in order to facilitate a description thereof. Various embodiments are discussed hereinafter. It should be noted that the figures are described only to facilitate the description of the embodiments. They are not intended as an exhaustive description of the invention and do not limit the scope of the invention. Additionally, an illustrated embodiment need not have all the aspects or advantages shown. Thus, in other embodiments, any of the features described herein from different embodiments may be combined.
As noted above, there exists a long felt need in the art for water bottle markers and charms that provide users with the ability to customize their water bottle for differentiation purposes to avoid illness and inconvenience. There is also a long felt need in the art for water bottle markers and charms that enable for customization of water bottles according to each user's preferences. Further, there is a long felt need in the art for a water bottle markers and charms enable for creative expression for each user. Finally, there is a long felt need in the art for water bottle markers and charms that are available in a wide variety of colors and styles to suit user preferences.
The present invention, in one exemplary embodiment, is novel water bottle markers and charms for decorating water bottles for differentiation, customization, or personalization purposes. The marker components come in a variety of colors and styles and are generally shaped as a string, beads, or chain links and may feature a clasp as an easy means of attachment either around the rim or to the handle of a water bottle. The charm components are available in a variety of shapes, colors, and/or designs and are attached to the marker components via a chain and key ring. Thus, once the marker component is attached to the bottle and the charm component is attached to the marker, the water bottle is customized to suit the user's differentiation. The present invention also includes a novel method of conveniently adorning a water bottle with a water bottle marker and charm. The method comprises providing water bottle markers and charms comprising a marker component and a charm component. The method also comprises attaching the marker component to either the rim or handle of a water bottle. Further, the method comprises securing the charm component to the marker component via a key ring. Finally, the method comprises utilizing the device while carrying a water bottle.
Referring initially to the drawings, FIG. 1 illustrates a perspective view of one embodiment of the water bottle markers and charms 100 of the present invention attached to a handle 302 of a water bottle 300. Attached to the handle 302 is an example of a marker component 110 in the string 116 style. Attached to and hanging from the marker component 110 is an example of a charm component 120. The charm component 120 is attached to the marker component 110 via a key ring 122 and chain 124.
Generally, the water bottle markers and charms 100 assist in any setting in which a user may carry a water bottle 300. The water bottle markers and charms 100 are available in a variety of colors and styles and secure easily to a water bottle 300 for differentiation, customization, or personalization purposes. The water bottle markers and charms 100 provide that the user's water bottle is quickly and easily distinguishable among others, preventing unintended germ exposure, misplacement, and accidental acquisition.
As shown in FIG. 2, the marker components 110 of the water bottle markers and charms 100 can be produced in an infinite number of colors and styles. Shown in FIG. 2, examples include a plurality of beads 112, a plurality of chain links 114, and a looped string 116. The marker components 110 are typically configured in a linear or looped shape but can be configured in any suitable shape as is known in the art. The marker components 110 may also feature a clasp to double as a bracelet or other jewelry.
Further, and as shown in FIG. 3, the charm components can also be manufactured in an infinite number of shapes, designs, styles, or colors. Examples of charm components shown in this figure include a moon, rainbow, and a bee. While the charm components 120 shown in FIG. 3 feature a key ring 122 and chain 124 to secure to the marker components 110, other types of fasteners, such as snaps, buttons, etc., can be used.
FIG. 4 illustrates a water bottle marker and charm 100 of the present invention attached to the handle 302 of a water bottle 300. In this figure, the marker component 110 is styled as a looped string 116. If the marker component 110 is a looped string 116, it can be fed through itself around the handle 302 of a water bottle 300 to provide a secure means of attachment.
Shown in FIG. 5 is a water bottle marker and charm 100 attached to a water bottle 300 around the rim. It is to be appreciated that the marker component 110 may be attached to a water bottle 300 either around the rim as shown in this figure, or to the handle 302. The attachment style of the water bottle markers and charms 100 may depend on the style of the marker component 110 being used. In FIG. 5, the marker component is styled as a plurality of chain links 114.
Further, the water bottle markers and charms 100 comprise a marker component 110. In one embodiment, the marker component 110 is adjustable. Generally, the marker components 110 may be adjustable via a clasp or any other suitable adjusting means as is known in the art.
As shown in FIG. 3, the water bottle markers and charms 100 in accordance with the present invention can be produced in various colors, designs, patterns, etc., and feature logos, emblems and or designs, such as a distributor requests and/or a user desires.
In one embodiment, the water bottle markers and charms 100 are manufactured of a high-density polyethylene (HDPE), or any other suitable material(s) as is known in the art. Any number of different types of materials can be used to make the water bottle markers and charms 100 including but not limited to nylon, textile materials, rubber, elastic materials, heat-sealable plastic or polymers, such as polypropylene or acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), or any other suitable material as is known in the art, such as but not limited to, acrylic, polycarbonate, polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, etc. Generally, the water bottle markers and charms 100 are also manufactured from a material that is water resistant or waterproof, or the charm component 120 comprises a coating that is water resistant or waterproof.
In yet another embodiment, the water bottle markers and charms 100 comprise a plurality of indicia 400. The charm component 120 of the device 100 may include advertising, a trademark, or other letters, designs, or characters, printed, painted, stamped, or integrated into the charm component 120, or any other indicia 400 as is known in the art. Specifically, any suitable indicia 400 as is known in the art can be included, such as but not limited to, patterns, logos, emblems, images, symbols, designs, letters, words, characters, animals, advertisements, brands, etc., that may or may not be water bottle, sports, or brand related.
It will also be appreciated that there are a number of additional add-on features that can be incorporated into the devices 100 and moreover, the water bottle markers and charms 100 can take many different forms as is known in the art.
FIG. 6 illustrates a flowchart of a method 200 of conveniently adorning a water bottle with a water bottle marker and charm is disclosed. The method comprises at 201, providing water bottle markers and charms comprising a marker component and a charm component. The method also comprises at 202, attaching the marker component to either the rim or handle of a water bottle. Further, the method comprises at 203, securing the charm component to the marker component via a key ring. Finally, the method comprises at 204 utilizing the device while carrying a water bottle.
Certain terms are used throughout the following description and claims to refer to particular features or components. As one skilled in the art will appreciate, different users may refer to the same feature or component by different names. This document does not intend to distinguish between components or features that differ in name but not structure or function. As used herein “water bottle markers and charms”, “markers”, “charms”, and “devices” are interchangeable and refer to the water bottle markers and charms 100 of the present invention.
Notwithstanding the forgoing, the water bottle markers and charms 100 of the present invention can be of any suitable size and configuration as is known in the art without affecting the overall concept of the invention, provided that it accomplishes the above stated objectives. One of ordinary skill in the art will appreciate that the water bottle markers and charms 100 as shown in FIGS. 1-5 is for illustrative purposes only, and that many other sizes and shapes of the water bottle markers and charms 100 are well within the scope of the present disclosure. Although the dimensions of the water bottle markers and charms 100 are important design parameters for user convenience, the water bottle markers and charms 100 may be of any size that ensures optimal performance during use and/or that suits the user's needs and/or preferences.
Various modifications and additions can be made to the exemplary embodiments discussed without departing from the scope of the present invention. While the embodiments described above refer to particular features, the scope of this invention also includes embodiments having different combinations of features and embodiments that do not include all of the described features. Accordingly, the scope of the present invention is intended to embrace all such alternatives, modifications, and variations as fall within the scope of the claims, together with all equivalents thereof.

It is, of course, not possible to describe every conceivable combination of components or methodologies for purposes of describing the claimed subject matter, but one of ordinary skill in the art may recognize that many further combinations and permutations of the claimed subject matter are possible. Furthermore, to the extent that the term “includes” is used in either the detailed description or the claims, such term is intended to be inclusive in a manner similar to the term “comprising” as “comprising” is interpreted when employed as a transitional word in a claim.
1. A bottle marker and charm comprising;
a bottle having a handle;
a first bottle marker having a first marker component and a first charm component;
a key ring; and
a chain, wherein said first bottle marker attached to said handle of said bottle, and further wherein said first marker component is a string component.
2. The bottle marker and charm of claim 1, wherein said key ring is connected to said first marker component.
3. The bottle marker and charm of claim 2, wherein said chain connected to said key ring.
4. The bottle marker and charm of claim 3, wherein said first charm component connected to said chain.
5. The bottle marker and charm of claim 2, wherein said first charm component is connected to said key ring.
6. The bottle marker and charm of claim 4, wherein said bottle is a water bottle.
7. The bottle marker and charm of claim 5, wherein said bottle is a water bottle.
8. The bottle marker and charm of claim 2, wherein said first charm component attachable to said first marker component with said key ring and said chain.
9. The bottle marker and charm of claim 8, wherein said bottle is a water bottle.

The bottle marker and charm of claim 9 further comprising a second bottle marker having a second marker component and a second charm component, wherein said first marker component having a first color and said second marker component having a second color, further wherein said first color is different than said second color.
11. The bottle marker and charm of claim 10, wherein said first charm component is different than said second charm component.
12. The bottle marker and charm of claim 11, wherein said string component selected from the group consisting of a plurality of beads, a plurality of chain links, and a looped string.
13. A bottle marker and charm comprising;
a bottle having a handle;
a first bottle marker having a first marker component and a first charm component;
a key ring; and
a chain;
wherein said first bottle marker attached to said handle of said bottle;
wherein said first marker component is a string component;
wherein said string component selected from the group consisting of a plurality of beads, a plurality of chain links, and a looped string; and
further wherein said bottle is a water bottle.
14. The bottle marker and charm of claim 13, wherein said key ring is connected to said first marker component.
15. The bottle marker and charm of claim 14, wherein said chain connected to said key ring.
16. The bottle marker and charm of claim 15, wherein said first charm component connected to said chain.
17. The bottle marker and charm of claim 14, wherein said first charm component is connected to said key ring.
18. The bottle marker and charm of claim 14, wherein said first charm component attachable to said first marker component with said key ring and said chain.
19. The bottle marker and charm of claim 18 further comprising a second bottle marker having a second marker component and a second charm component, wherein said first marker component having a first color and said second marker component having a second color, further wherein said first color is different than said second color.
20. A bottle marker and charm comprising;
a first bottle having a first handle;
a second bottle having a second handle;
a first bottle marker having a first marker component and a first charm component; and
a second bottle marker having a second marker component and a second charm component;
wherein said first bottle marker attached to said first handle of said first bottle;
wherein said second bottle marker attached to said second handle of said second bottle;
wherein said first marker component and said second marker component are a string component;
wherein said string component selected from the group consisting of a plurality of beads, a plurality of chain links, and a looped string;
wherein said first marker component having a first color and said second marker component having a second color;
wherein said first color is different than said second color; and
further wherein said first charm component is different than said second charm component.
