This disclosure claims priority under 35 U.S.C. ยง 119 to Taiwan Patent Application No. 113149227, titled โADJUSTABLE SLIDING RAIL TYPE WEIGHT TRAINING BENCH,โ filed on Dec. 17, 2024, the disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.
The present invention relates to a bench press bench, and more particularly relates to an adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench.
A bench press bench is a type of bench used during weight training, and is named as such because it is primarily designed for bench press exercises.
In order to accommodate different postures for bench pressing, some bench press benches feature adjustable backrests that allow for angle adjustments. However, the addition of angle adjustment devices may negatively impact the structural stability and ease of operation of bench press such benches, highlighting the necessity for structural improvements.
Accordingly, in view of the above issues, one objective of the present invention is to provide adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench to solve technical problems in a prior art.
In order to overcome the technical problems in the prior art, the present invention provides an adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench, comprising: a support stand, including a pivot base, a front inclined support leg extending downward and forward from the pivot base, and a rear inclined support leg extending downward and rearward from the pivot base, whereby the pivot base is supported at a predetermined bench press usage height by the front inclined support leg and the rear inclined support leg; a seat assembly, disposed at a front side of the pivot base, the seat assembly including a seat portion and a seat pivot portion located at a rear side of the seat portion, the seat pivot portion being pivotally connected to the pivot base, enabling the seat portion to pivot relative to the pivot base within a seat angle adjustment range to adjust a seat arrangement angle of the seat portion; a backrest assembly, disposed at a rear side of the pivot base, the backrest assembly including a backrest portion and a backrest pivot portion located at a front side of the backrest portion, the backrest pivot portion being pivotally connected to the pivot base, enabling the backrest portion to pivot relative to the pivot base within a backrest angle adjustment range to adjust a backrest arrangement angle of the backrest portion; a seat angle positioning device, including a pair of front inclined slide rails, a pair of front sliding sleeves, a front slider, a front connecting rod, and a front positioning element, wherein the pair of front inclined slide rails are symmetrically disposed on left and right sides of the front inclined support leg and extending downward and forward along the front inclined support leg, the pair of front sliding sleeves are slidably and respectively mounted on the pair of front inclined slide rails, the front slider is connected between the pair of front sliding sleeves, extends across an upper side of the front inclined support leg, and is slidable along the front inclined support leg in a forward and rearward inclined manner, both ends of the front connecting rod are pivotally and respectively connected to the front slider and the seat assembly, linking a pivotal movement of the seat portion and a forward and backward inclined sliding movement of the front slider through the front connecting rod, the front positioning element is disposed on the front slider and configured to adjustably fix the front slider to a selected seat adjustment position on the front inclined support leg, thereby corresponding positioning the seat portion at the seat arrangement angle; and a backrest angle positioning device, including a pair of rear inclined slide rails, a pair of rear sliding sleeves, a rear slider, a rear connecting rod, and a rear positioning element, wherein the pair of rear inclined slide rails are symmetrically disposed on left and right sides of the rear inclined support leg and extending downward and rearward along the rear inclined support leg, the pair of rear sliding sleeves are slidably and respectively mounted on the pair of rear inclined slide rails, the rear slider is connected between the pair of rear sliding sleeves, extends across an upper side of the rear inclined support leg, and is slidable along the rear inclined support leg in a forward and rearward inclined manner, both ends of the rear connecting rod are pivotally and respectively connected to the rear slider and the backrest assembly, linking a pivotal movement of the backrest portion and a forward and backward inclined sliding movement of the rear slider through the rear connecting rod, the rear positioning element is disposed on the rear slider and configured to adjustably fix the rear slider to a selected backrest adjustment position on the rear inclined support leg, thereby corresponding positioning the backrest portion at the backrest arrangement angle.
In one embodiment of the present invention, the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench is provided, wherein the support stand further includes a standing device disposed at a rear end of the rear inclined support leg, the standing device includes a transverse support rod extending laterally from the rear end of the rear inclined support leg and a vertical support rod extending upward from the rear end of the rear inclined support leg, the transverse support rod and the vertical support rod form a T-shaped frame with a support surface facing rearward, allowing the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench to stand with the support surface of the T-shaped frame facing downward, an upper end of the vertical support rod is formed with a supporting portion which is configured to receive the backrest portion when the backrest portion is pivoted to a lying position, thereby supporting the backrest portion.
In one embodiment of the present invention, the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench is provided, wherein the standing device further includes a caster element disposed on a rear side of the transverse support rod.
In one embodiment of the present invention, the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench is provided, wherein the backrest assembly further includes an auxiliary standing support plate disposed at a rear end of the backrest portion to serve as a support when the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench is in a standing position.
In one embodiment of the present invention, the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench is provided, wherein the support stand further includes a carrying handle disposed at a front end of the front inclined support leg for gripping and applying force to carry the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench.
In one embodiment of the present invention, the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench is provided, wherein a plurality of seat adjustment positioning holes are formed on the upper side of the front inclined support leg, and the front positioning element is a push pin or a pull pin, which is inserted into a selected one of the plurality of seat adjustment positioning holes, thereby fixing the front slider relative to the front inclined support leg.
In one embodiment of the present invention, the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench is provided, wherein a plurality of backrest adjustment positioning holes are formed on the upper side of the rear inclined support leg, and the rear positioning element is a push pin or a pull pin, which is inserted into a selected one of the plurality of backrest adjustment positioning holes, thereby fixing the rear slider relative to the rear inclined support leg.
In one embodiment of the present invention, the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench is provided, wherein the front inclined support leg of the support stand is a rectangular tube, and the pair of front inclined slide rails of the seat angle positioning device are circular tubes.
In one embodiment of the present invention, the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench is provided, wherein the rear inclined support leg of the support stand is a rectangular tube, and the pair of rear inclined slide rails of the backrest angle positioning device are circular tubes.
With the technical means adopted by the present invention, the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench of the present invention can achieve smooth guidance and stable support for the seat portion and the backrest portion during angle adjustments via paired rail structures (the pair of front inclined slide rails and the pair of rear inclined slide rails) and their linking with the seat portion and the backrest portion, and also can achieve the effect of rapid positioning through the use of positioning devices (the front slider, the front positioning element, the rear slider and the rear positioning element). Thus, the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench of the present invention allows for angle adjustments of both the seat portion and backrest portion while maintaining excellent structural stability and operational convenience, effectively addressing the issues of prior art.

The preferred embodiments of the present invention are described in detail with reference to FIG. 1 to FIG. 5. The description is used for explaining the embodiments of the present invention only, but not for limiting the scope of the claims.
As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 5, an adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench 100 according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a support stand 1, a seat assembly 2, a backrest assembly 3, a seat angle positioning device 4 and a backrest angle positioning device 5.
As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 4, the support stand 1 includes a pivot base 11, a front inclined support leg 12 extending downward and forward from the pivot base 11, and a rear inclined support leg 13 extending downward and rearward from the pivot base 11, whereby the pivot base 11 is supported at a predetermined bench press usage height H by the front inclined support leg 12 and the rear inclined support leg 13.
As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 4, the seat assembly 2 is disposed at a front side of the pivot base 11, the seat assembly 2 includes a seat portion 21 and a seat pivot portion 22 located at a rear side of the seat portion 21. The seat pivot portion 22 is pivotally connected to the pivot base 11, enabling the seat portion 21 to pivot relative to the pivot base 11 within a seat angle adjustment range R2 to adjust a seat arrangement angle of the seat portion 21.
As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 4, the backrest assembly 3 is disposed at a rear side of the pivot base 11, the backrest assembly 3 includes a backrest portion 31 and a backrest pivot portion 32 located at a front side of the backrest portion 31. The backrest pivot portion 32 is pivotally connected to the pivot base 11, enabling the backrest portion 31 to pivot relative to the pivot base 11 within a backrest angle adjustment range R3 to adjust a backrest arrangement angle of the backrest portion 31.
As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 4, the seat angle positioning device 4 includes a pair of front inclined slide rails 41, a pair of front sliding sleeves 42, a front slider 43, a front connecting rod 44, and a front positioning element 45, wherein the pair of front inclined slide rails 41 are symmetrically disposed on left and right sides of the front inclined support leg 12 and extending downward and forward along the front inclined support leg 12. The pair of front sliding sleeves 42 are slidably and respectively mounted on the pair of front inclined slide rails 41. The front slider 43 is connected between the pair of front sliding sleeves 42, extends across an upper side of the front inclined support leg 12, and is slidable along the front inclined support leg 12 in a forward and rearward inclined manner. Both ends of the front connecting rod 44 are pivotally and respectively connected to the front slider 43 and the seat assembly 2, linking a pivotal movement of the seat portion 21 and a forward and backward inclined sliding movement of the front slider 43 through the front connecting rod 44. The front positioning element 45 is disposed on the front slider 43 and configured to adjustably fix the front slider 43 to a selected seat adjustment position on the front inclined support leg 12, thereby corresponding positioning the seat portion 21 at the seat arrangement angle.
As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 4, the backrest angle positioning device 5 includes a pair of rear inclined slide rails 51, a pair of rear sliding sleeves 52, a rear slider 53, a rear connecting rod 54, and a rear positioning element 55, wherein the pair of rear inclined slide rails 51 are symmetrically disposed on left and right sides of the rear inclined support leg 13 and extending downward and rearward along the rear inclined support leg 13. The pair of rear sliding sleeves 52 are slidably and respectively mounted on the pair of rear inclined slide rails 51. The rear slider 53 is connected between the pair of rear sliding sleeves 52, extends across an upper side of the rear inclined support leg 13, and is slidable along the rear inclined support leg 13 in a forward and rearward inclined manner. Both ends of the rear connecting rod 54 are pivotally and respectively connected to the rear slider 53 and the backrest assembly 3, linking a pivotal movement of the backrest portion 31 and a forward and backward inclined sliding movement of the rear slider 53 through the rear connecting rod 54. The rear positioning element 55 is disposed on the rear slider 53 and configured to adjustably fix the rear slider 53 to a selected backrest adjustment position on the rear inclined support leg 13, thereby corresponding positioning the backrest portion 31 at the backrest arrangement angle.
As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 5, in the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench 100 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the support stand 1 further includes a standing device 14 disposed at a rear end of the rear inclined support leg 13, the standing device 14 includes a transverse support rod 141 extending laterally from the rear end of the rear inclined support leg 13 and a vertical support rod 142 extending upward from the rear end of the rear inclined support leg 13, the transverse support rod 141 and the vertical support rod 142 form a T-shaped frame with a support surface facing rearward, allowing the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench 100 to stand (as shown in FIG. 5) with the support surface of the T-shaped frame facing downward, an upper end of the vertical support rod 142 is formed with a supporting portion 144 which is configured to receive the backrest portion 31 when the backrest portion 31 is pivoted to a lying position, thereby supporting the backrest portion 31.
As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 5, in the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench 100 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the standing device 14 further includes a caster element 143 disposed on a rear side of the transverse support rod 141.
As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 5, in the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench 100 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the backrest assembly 3 further includes an auxiliary standing support plate 33 disposed at a rear end of the backrest portion 31 to serve as a support when the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench 100 is in a standing position (as shown in FIG. 5).
As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 5, in the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench 100 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the support stand 1 further includes a carrying handle 15 disposed at a front end of the front inclined support leg 12 for gripping and applying force to carry the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench 100.
As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 4, in the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench 100 according to one embodiment of the present invention, a plurality of seat adjustment positioning holes 121 are formed on the upper side of the front inclined support leg 12, and the front positioning element 45 is a push pin or a pull pin, which is inserted into a selected one of the plurality of seat adjustment positioning holes 121, thereby fixing the front slider 43 relative to the front inclined support leg 12.
As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 4, in the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench 100 according to one embodiment of the present invention, a plurality of backrest adjustment positioning holes 131 are formed on the upper side of the rear inclined support leg 13, and the rear positioning element 55 is a push pin or a pull pin, which is inserted into a selected one of the plurality of backrest adjustment positioning holes 131, thereby fixing the rear slider 53 relative to the rear inclined support leg 13.
As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 4, in the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench 100 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the front inclined support leg 12 of the support stand 1 is a rectangular tube, and the pair of front inclined slide rails 41 of the seat angle positioning device 4 are circular tubes.
As shown in FIG. 1 to FIG. 4, in the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench 100 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the rear inclined support leg 13 of the support stand 1 is a rectangular tube, and the pair of rear inclined slide rails 51 of the backrest angle positioning device 5 are circular tubes.
As shown in FIG. 4, in the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench 100 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the seat angle adjustment range R2 may, for example, be 0 degrees (horizontal) to 30 degrees. However, the present invention is not limited thereto, and in other embodiment, the seat angle adjustment range R2 may also be 0 degrees to greater than 30 degrees. The backrest angle adjustment range R3 may, for example, be 0 degrees (horizontal) to 90 degrees, and the backrest arrangement angle at which the backrest portion 31 is positioned may, for example, be 0 degrees (horizontal), 60 degrees, 70 degrees, or 90 degrees (vertical). However, the present invention is not limited thereto, and in other embodiment, the backrest arrangement angle at which the backrest portion 31 is positioned may also be other angles.
With the above structure, the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench 100 of the present invention can achieve smooth guidance and stable support for the seat portion 21 and the backrest portion 31 during angle adjustments via paired rail structures (the pair of front inclined slide rails 41 and the pair of rear inclined slide rails 51) and their linking with the seat portion 21 and the backrest portion 31, and also can achieve the effect of rapid positioning through the use of positioning devices (the front slider 43, the front positioning element 45, the rear slider 53 and the rear positioning element 55). Thus, the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench 100 of the present invention allows for angle adjustments of both the seat portion 21 and backrest portion 31 while maintaining excellent structural stability and operational convenience, effectively addressing the issues of prior art.
The above description should be considered as only the discussion of the preferred embodiments of the present invention. However, a person having ordinary skill in the art may make various modifications without deviating from the present invention. Those modifications still fall within the scope of the present invention.
1. An adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench, comprising:
a support stand, including a pivot base, a front inclined support leg extending downward and forward from the pivot base, and a rear inclined support leg extending downward and rearward from the pivot base, whereby the pivot base is supported at a predetermined bench press usage height by the front inclined support leg and the rear inclined support leg;
a seat assembly, disposed at a front side of the pivot base, the seat assembly including a seat portion and a seat pivot portion located at a rear side of the seat portion, the seat pivot portion being pivotally connected to the pivot base, enabling the seat portion to pivot relative to the pivot base within a seat angle adjustment range to adjust a seat arrangement angle of the seat portion;
a backrest assembly, disposed at a rear side of the pivot base, the backrest assembly including a backrest portion and a backrest pivot portion located at a front side of the backrest portion, the backrest pivot portion being pivotally connected to the pivot base, enabling the backrest portion to pivot relative to the pivot base within a backrest angle adjustment range to adjust a backrest arrangement angle of the backrest portion;
a seat angle positioning device, including a pair of front inclined slide rails, a pair of front sliding sleeves, a front slider, a front connecting rod, and a front positioning element, wherein the pair of front inclined slide rails are symmetrically disposed on left and right sides of the front inclined support leg and extending downward and forward along the front inclined support leg, the pair of front sliding sleeves are slidably and respectively mounted on the pair of front inclined slide rails, the front slider is connected between the pair of front sliding sleeves, extends across an upper side of the front inclined support leg, and is slidable along the front inclined support leg in a forward and rearward inclined manner, both ends of the front connecting rod are pivotally and respectively connected to the front slider and the seat assembly, linking a pivotal movement of the seat portion and a forward and backward inclined sliding movement of the front slider through the front connecting rod, the front positioning element is disposed on the front slider and configured to adjustably fix the front slider to a selected seat adjustment position on the front inclined support leg, thereby corresponding positioning the seat portion at the seat arrangement angle; and
a backrest angle positioning device, including a pair of rear inclined slide rails, a pair of rear sliding sleeves, a rear slider, a rear connecting rod, and a rear positioning element, wherein the pair of rear inclined slide rails are symmetrically disposed on left and right sides of the rear inclined support leg and extending downward and rearward along the rear inclined support leg, the pair of rear sliding sleeves are slidably and respectively mounted on the pair of rear inclined slide rails, the rear slider is connected between the pair of rear sliding sleeves, extends across an upper side of the rear inclined support leg, and is slidable along the rear inclined support leg in a forward and rearward inclined manner, both ends of the rear connecting rod are pivotally and respectively connected to the rear slider and the backrest assembly, linking a pivotal movement of the backrest portion and a forward and backward inclined sliding movement of the rear slider through the rear connecting rod, the rear positioning element is disposed on the rear slider and configured to adjustably fix the rear slider to a selected backrest adjustment position on the rear inclined support leg, thereby corresponding positioning the backrest portion at the backrest arrangement angle.
2. The adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench as claimed in claim 1, wherein the support stand further includes a standing device disposed at a rear end of the rear inclined support leg, the standing device includes a transverse support rod extending laterally from the rear end of the rear inclined support leg and a vertical support rod extending upward from the rear end of the rear inclined support leg, the transverse support rod and the vertical support rod form a T-shaped frame with a support surface facing rearward, allowing the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench to stand with the support surface of the T-shaped frame facing downward, an upper end of the vertical support rod is formed with a supporting portion which is configured to receive the backrest portion when the backrest portion is pivoted to a lying position, thereby supporting the backrest portion.
3. The adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench as claimed in claim 2, wherein the standing device further includes a caster element disposed on a rear side of the transverse support rod.
4. The adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench as claimed in claim 1, wherein the backrest assembly further includes an auxiliary standing support plate disposed at a rear end of the backrest portion to serve as a support when the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench is in a standing position.

The adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench as claimed in claim 2, wherein the backrest assembly further includes an auxiliary standing support plate disposed at a rear end of the backrest portion to serve as a support when the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench is in a standing position.

The adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench as claimed in claim 3, wherein the backrest assembly further includes an auxiliary standing support plate disposed at a rear end of the backrest portion to serve as a support when the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench is in a standing position.
7. The adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench as claimed in claim 1, wherein the support stand further includes a carrying handle disposed at a front end of the front inclined support leg for gripping and applying force to carry the adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench.
8. The adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench as claimed in claim 1, wherein a plurality of seat adjustment positioning holes are formed on the upper side of the front inclined support leg, and the front positioning element is a push pin or a pull pin, which is inserted into a selected one of the plurality of seat adjustment positioning holes, thereby fixing the front slider relative to the front inclined support leg.

The adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench as claimed in claim 1, wherein a plurality of backrest adjustment positioning holes are formed on the upper side of the rear inclined support leg, and the rear positioning element is a push pin or a pull pin, which is inserted into a selected one of the plurality of backrest adjustment positioning holes, thereby fixing the rear slider relative to the rear inclined support leg.
10. The adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench as claimed in claim 1, wherein the front inclined support leg of the support stand is a rectangular tube, and the pair of front inclined slide rails of the seat angle positioning device are circular tubes.
11. The adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench as claimed in claim 8, wherein the front inclined support leg of the support stand is a rectangular tube, and the pair of front inclined slide rails of the seat angle positioning device are circular tubes.
12. The adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench as claimed in claim 1, wherein the rear inclined support leg of the support stand is a rectangular tube, and the pair of rear inclined slide rails of the backrest angle positioning device are circular tubes.
13. The adjustable sliding rail-type bench press bench as claimed in claim 9, wherein the rear inclined support leg of the support stand is a rectangular tube, and the pair of rear inclined slide rails of the backrest angle positioning device are circular tubes.
